Not a lot of hours tbh, just generally a regular 40 hour week, but it's over 7 days, and tends to be very stop/start. 1st call is about 06.45 last is around 21.00 with odd hour or two breaks in between. The company is not great at giving you time off, you practically have to demand it, but I guess that's the nature of care work. Pay sucks, and there is no petrol allowance, so on top of Tax, NI etc about 1/3 of my wages goes out my tail pipe.
I'm already looking for another job with more family friendly hours tbh. Other than that, fine :) Not had a chance to visit your site in a while....will try and rectify that in the near future...I miss your macro take on our big wide world. Had a nice walk today in the Autumn sun with my friend Tom today, not seen each other in months and caught up on all the gos and gave him a few CDr's to take home. Had to curtail it early though cos' got a call out....still, very nice while it lasted.
(Just read that back...sounds like a right moan...soz......guess I should be grateful I've got work, but....)Stensil Headhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06021948065989520208noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5799332559708136452.post-23155186589033363362011-10-12T04:17:27.969-07:002011-10-12T04:17:27.969-07:00Hey!
